Next up in our Scare-Up series for Halloween is another indie horror game by the name of SCP – Containment Breach. But what do we actually think of it?
Phil once again takes the controls to partake in some experiments as test subject D-9341 although, as usual in horror games, it doesn’t all go to plan. The SCP foundation is a secret organisation dedicated to the containment of some nasty lifeforms that each have their own unique ways of killing people. SCP-008 infects its victims with a virus that eventually turns them into a zombie, while SCP-012 forces people to cut their own wrists.
Unfortunately as we didn’t make it that far into the game we only come across the main creature – SCP-173 – which is only able to move when not in the player’s line of sight. Once it gets behind you he’ll snap your neck so it’s best to keep an eye on him at all times, which isn’t always possible thanks to the blinking mechanic. Check out our video below to see for yourself but please remember to blink as he can’t get you, or can he…
It wasn’t exactly our best experience of a horror game, but that’s probably because we didn’t make it very far in and discovering the other nasty creatures probably would have made it more interesting.
Thanks for watching! Before we go we’ll leave you with some words from our sponsor, SCP-173:
