Have you ever being eaten alive by animatronic robots gone bad? The 1001-Up.com team sat down with Five Nights at Freddy’s to experience it over and over.
After much nagging from Tim we finally sat down to introduce Kim and myself to the scare-fest that is Five Nights at Freddy’s. Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza is a family restaurant where kids and parents alike come for entertainment and food with animatronic robot Freddy Fazbear as the main attraction. When the pizzeria is locked up for the night the robots exhibit unpredictable behaviour thanks to their poor programming and it’s up to the player, hired as a security guard (it’s cheaper than a repairman), to survive the place until morning. Using security cameras and a limited power supply you must keep an eye on where the robots are and use the electronic doors to keep them at bay preventing them from stuffing you down their mechanical throats.
Tim took the controls once again and it wasn’t long before we were looking at the game over screen but we managed to get as far as the third night on the second try. Unfortunately we weren’t able to get much further into the game than that but if you’re interesting in seeing how frantic Five Nights at Freddy’s can get then check out Markiplier’s video where he attempts to beat the hardest level.
If you love jump scares but are interested in a new take on situational horror then check out Five Nights at Freddy’s on Steam and the trailer for the sequel.
